1. You Should Be Here

According to Swindell, “You Should Be Here” was written in the parking lot of Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. It’s the title track from his second album of the same name, which was released very recently as of the time of writing this. The narrator of the song is sad because he’s missing someone that is no longer in his life. Even while he’s out having a good time, all he can do is think about this person- “You should be here, standing with your arm around me here / Cutting up, cracking a cold beer, saying cheers, hey y’all it’s sure been a good year.”
